Visa is hiring a Sr. SW Engineer - SDET - Automation, GenAI tooling, API Testing in IN - Bengaluru.
Responsibilities
- Own the design and implementation of AI tooling, AI agents, and MCP server components to support QA activities such as intelligent test generation, failure analysis, and defect insights.
- Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks from scratch for UI and API testing
- Hands‑on automation using Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework, and API automation using RestAssured
- Integrate automation frameworks and AI tooling into CI-CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable quality feedback
- Write clean, well‑structured, and maintainable code using Java and-or Python
- Participate in unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration
- Apply engineering best practices, coding standards, and security considerations in all deliverables
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and SRE teams to embed quality‑by‑design practices
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager. 
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree
Preferred qualifications
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. M.E/M.Tech etc.,)
- 3–7 years' experience in software engineering, with a strong emphasis on test automation or test platform development.
- Experience developing AI or GenAI‑based solutions, AI agents, or internal engineering platforms
- Hands on experience in test design and execution based on business scenarios.
- Strong communication with ability to collaborate with global teams.
- Strong experience building automation frameworks from scratch
- Hands‑on expertise with Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework, and RestAssured
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with cloud‑native and microservices‑based systems
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills
