Senior Software Engineer

Visa is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in IN - Bengaluru.

Requirements

2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred qualifications

3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) 3+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2+ years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters) or 1+ year of work experience with a Ph.D Minimum of 3+ years of overall work experience in Java related tech stack Proficiency in Java/J2EE/REST technologies and frameworks such as Spring, Spring MVC, JPA, and Hibernate. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MCA, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in application development. Experience in API development for producers and consumers, with strong attention to security, reliability, and engineering standards. Experience with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL platforms. Experience with microservices architecture and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker. Good understanding of LLMs, agentic AI, MCP/tool-based workflows, and practical AI-assisted software engineering patterns. Familiarity with GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cline, and Copilot for Microsoft 365. Experience with software configuration management, build, and automation tools such as Git, Maven, Artifactory, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk, ClickHouse, or similar platforms for monitoring and issue triage. Experience with system design and technology stack upgrades to build highly available, secure, maintainable, high-performing, and scalable applications. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
