Senior Manager, Data Reliability Engineering

Visa is hiring a Senior Manager, Data Reliability Engineering in IN - Bengaluru.

Requirements

8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred qualifications

9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience 3+ years of experience managing teams focused in infrastructure engineering, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, data engineering, or a related technical discipline Proven experience designing, building, and operating cloud-native, containerized infrastructure that supports data products and services Strong expertise in AWS or Azure cloud services, including compute, networking, storage, identity and access management, and security Experience with container orchestration platforms, such as Kubernetes, preferably in Azure or AWS Kubernetes Service or similar environments Strong knowledge of systems design, distributed systems, networking, databases, and modern data platform technologies Experience implementing and managing infrastructure as code, automation, and configuration management practices Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives focused on availability, scalability, reliability, security, and operational excellence Experience partnering with cross-functional teams, including engineering, platform, security, and product stakeholders Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence technical direction and align teams around shared priorities Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment and manage competing priorities across distributed teams
