Lead Engineer - Target India

Target is hiring a Lead Engineer - Target India in Bangalore.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Kubernetes-based platform services

• Develop platform tooling and automation using Go

• Implement and manage GitOps workflows for application and infrastructure deployment

• Enhance platform observability, reliability, and operational excellence

• Manage and optimize GKE clusters and supporting cloud infrastructure

• Collaborate with engineering teams to enable scalable and secure cloud-native solutions

Requirements

• Strong development experience in Go (Golang)

• Hands-on experience building and operating Kubernetes-based platforms

• Experience with GitOps tools and practices (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux)

• Strong understanding of Observability frameworks, including monitoring, logging, and tracing

• Experience with Talos Linux and Linux system administration

• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including Kubernetes networking and service connectivity

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and managing Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters

• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize distributed systems in production environments

Preferred qualifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) and/or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)

• Experience with platform automation, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native security best practices
