Job Requisition ID # 25WD94110 Position Overview Autodesk is seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to lead the design and development of next-generation AI-powered tools and platform for Cloud and Desktop applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect services powering AI-based Tools and platforms.

• Build intelligent platform capabilities that enhance software quality, engineering productivity, and developer workflows.

• Design and integrate AI-powered workflows using Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and modern AI frameworks.

• Develop services that seamlessly integrate with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and cloud platforms.

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to define technical roadmaps and platform strategy.

• Drive engineering excellence through reusable platform components, automation, and modern software engineering practices.

• Mentor engineers, conduct architecture reviews, and provide technical leadership across multiple teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering tooling and developing solution for the organisatiom

• Proficiency in Python and one or more modern programming languages such as TypeScript or JavaScript.

• Experience building services, Automation frameworks, and cloud-native applications.

• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and modern CI/CD practices.

• Excellent analytical, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience building AI-powered engineering productivity platforms

• Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents, and AI orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar technologies.

• Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), prompt engineering, vector databases, and AI system design.

• Experience designing AI-enabled services and integrating AI capabilities into quality engineering workflows.

• Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, or similar platforms.

• Understanding of AI observability, evaluation, governance, and responsible AI practices.

• Experience working in Agile environments using modern planning, collaboration, and engineering management tools.
